 MONTHLY SPECIAL    January 2007
I purchased this from dealership at Storm Lake, Iowa and I live at Holstein, Iowa. I first heard about this new Mustang through my car club I belong to. My first close up was at a car show, where the dealership just got one in and decided to display that evening. I was impressed by all the added features of this one, even though I was thinking about a new Shelby 500 at the time. While doing some research on this one with it's history, decided to purchase this one instead. This is what lead me to CaliforniaSpecial.com web page.

I just traded off a 2005 GT, of which was one of the early ones, made in 09/04. Here are specs on the new one:

  • 2007 Black coupe GT/CS built 06/06
  • engine: 4.6L 3V SOHC V8
  • 5 Speed manual transmission
  • Heated seat
  • Tires: 235/50/ZR 18
  • Wheels: 18" Polished Aluminum
  • Bright rolled dual exhaust
Based on the '68 GT/CS it includes exclusive front fascia with prominent air intake and chin spoiler that is 1.5 " lower than the standard Mustang GT, slick side scoops, unique rear fascia with racing-inspired air diffuser. Mine came with dark charcoal leather trimmed with contrasting dove GT-leather inserts, leather wrapped steering wheel with satin aluminum spokes and with a leather-wrapped sports shift knob.

Add on's: I added the unique engine cover emblazed with a "pony" emblem, for the sure reason, I was not impressed with the hood scoop on this, of which would have came with if I had this package add to mine. I also put on a mini mask . I've changed the side stripping from nearly the same color are as the car, to reflective white/silver and waiting for the stripping that will go across the top the trunk, much like that of the '68 did. Maybe add some California Special emblems for the rear panel like that as the '68's have on them. I want this new generation GT/CS to look similar to that of the '68's. I want to let every one know where the roots of the new one came from so to speak.
