Following is a brief history and
explanation of this registry. To go directly to the registry forms please select from the
sub-directory on the left. Car registries have always been a great way to gather information on rare or limited production cars. In addition to creating an invaluable database, they also let owners share their car's history and get them more involved in the hobby. Both the California Special Registry run by Paul M. Newitt and the High Country Special Registry run by Bob Teets have done a remarkable job of tracking down many of these rare cars. Paul's GT/CS Registry has more than 900 cars currently listed and has published two invaluable books on the subject. Bob's HCS Registry has an amazing 100+ cars listed. That's over 40% of total production which is almost unheard in the classic car registry world. I would like to extend a big "thank you" to both Paul and Bob for their years of hard work and dedication. See contact information for both registries to your left. As my own contribution to these cars I've put together online registration forms for both registries in hopes of getting even more cars added. Viewers should know that both Paul and Bob are fully aware of this web site and have given their express permission to add to their registries. All information gathered here will be shared with them for inclusion in their Registries. These are not new registries. If your vehicle is already in either registry you do not need to fill out this form. However you are more than welcome to, especially if you would like to update your information. And if you have photos I'd love to add them to the Gallery. Please see instructions on the Gallery page. That's it! Select from the sub-directory on the left to go to that registration form. Thank you! Your time and enthusiasm is much appreciated and will help us all learn a little more about these rare cars. |
