1968 C4 dipstick and tube colors

What was the original finish? Both painted blue like the engine, black... tube painted/ top of stick natural (zinc)... have seen examples of all.... think black/zinc is correct but not sure...

Tube semi gloss black, the handle and cap was plated phosphate and oil.
