Looking at a Marti Report on a friends GTCS and under the features it has "Optional Axle ratio" listed. Can someone enlighten me as to what this refers to?

Thanks

I think the standard ratios were 2.79 for the auto and 3.00 for the 4-speed, any other rear gears were optional. Don't take that as the gospel, though.

I previously owned a 1968 GT coupe (not a CS) with the J-code 302. Standard axle ratio was 3.25 because it was a GT. Mine was assembled with a 3.00 ratio and was listed on the Marti Report as "Optional Axle Ratio".
