When you ran 11.86 @ 117.6mph...was that on a STOCK exhaust system? No, right? what exhaust did you have before your new exhaust? What mufflers are you running now?

The only thing I changed was the mid-pipe. I switched to an off-road X-pipe. I am still running the stock exhaust manifolds and the GTA axle back that I installed when I first got the car. This is the same muffler that is on the Shelby GT-H.

David and I went to Fontana today. It was packed with cars. I only got two runs in and David & I were not able to race. I had to leave by 2 to make it to my son's performance. I didn't get my first run in until 10:45 and my 2nd in until 12:20. I had a new personal best of 11.69 & 119.8 MPH. David got one run in before I left. He lifted, but still ran a very fast time, faster than either of my runs. I'll let him tell you about that and I'm also in suspense about what he ran after I left.

VERY respectable times! "Win" or "Lose", that's something to be proud of.

Very nice Joe. Looks like the car is running well.

I don't see dial in's on the time slips, are these just "test and tune" days? If they have a bracket racing season, I highly recommend it, lots of fun. I wish we were still racing here in Denver.

Joe,

Great times! You and David will have to come up to Sacramento in May for the Ford Lovers West Coast Nationals. You will be able to run as many times a you can and you can run against David as many times as you can. It is the first Sunday in May and it is a great day of all Fords. Mike Jewell and I went this past year and Mike scored a toploader for his CS for $400. What a steal!!! Check out www.fordlovers.com you won't be disappointed if you come up.

Cheers,

Ron

Ron is right, it is a great day at the race track. Car show and swap meet. All Fords. I got the top loader, Hurst comp+ linkage and drive line for $400.00. Put it in the C code replacing the T10. WOW, what a difference. It is like driving a different car. MUCH BETTER.
Great cars racing and I saw the same cars running multiple times that day, You should get as many runs as you want if you come up. Certainly a great day. Try it, you'll like it. Mike

Thanks, everyone. I'm having a blast with this car. I'll be going racing this Saturday at a private track day. Only 50 cars and a well prepped track. Should be alot of fun.

Ruben, I used 100 octane unleaded VP racing fuel.

Joe,
You are going WAY FAST!!! And with a 5 speed!!! I assume you do not use fifth gear? Great 60 foot times and shifting a manual tranny!! You are awesome!!

Love to see you post a video of your car like Dave does. I run them over and over with my speakers on as high as they can stand!!! This is a near sexual experience for Rob!!

Yeah, I have adjustable front struts set at full soft when I'm at the track. The beauty of it is I can adjust them and have a nice highway cruiser when I'm done or firm them up for a road course. Of course I'd have to put my front swaybar back in for the road course, but for normal cruising I don't even miss that swaybar. I'll drive the car all this week without it, so I don't have to take it back off for Saturday at the dragstrip.
