Lil Loomis Car Show...

[Midnight Special]

...began eight years ago when Don Trammel, owner of the local Jim Boy's Tacos decided to put a record player in his parking lot and invite his friends to bring their classic cars. By word of mouth and a history of outstanding fellowship, the event grew from 5 cars to well over a hundred; spilling over to and filling the adjacent lot of the old Loomis train station! The record player was soon replaced with a professional sound system, eloquent mix of "oldies" and all the fixings of big-time shows including raffles, category awards some rare & beautiful cars!

The enthusiastic invitation from Renee "Ponygal" was only the beginning....

...Who do I see upon arrival, but our old friend Claude Sprinkel "CJ" and his immaculate GT/CS (original owner Then came Ron Moore and his wife Jan "clubpro" (R&R Classics) which set the stage for even greater fellowship and excellent representation from our site! Ron had a truckload of GT/CS shirts and caps so I was finally able to update my collection of premium CS sportswear, and together we walked, talked and took in the sights.

We also spent alot of time w/ Mr. Trammel of Jim Boy's who is a "kick in the pants" with his great stories and unstoppable humor... all the while sneaking us cold beer from an old Nash

But as we knew would be the case........

....with the awards ceremony came the obvious! "CJ" cleaned house AGAIN in our category with his beyond-words beautiful GT/CS!

My son TJ and his friend Spencer came along and enjoyed watching the trains as well as the cars. A great time was had by all )

You captured the evening so well (as usual). It was a little great car show, although it is getting a lot bigger as the years go by. Indeed, Don trammel does this show up right! Great music, beautiful cars, raffles, awards, cold beer (shhhhh :wink: ), friendy folks and yummy tacos!! It was great seeing Ron (Clubpro) and his wife, and Claude with his exceptional GT/CS. I had a wonderful evening!! Thank you for bringing down your beautiful Black/Gold Special! It was good to see you and the boys!

Since Don has this show once a month throughout the summer (2nd Sat), maybe we can all get together and do it again in a month or two.

Needless to say seeing Tim and his two side-kicks (TJ and Spencer), Ron and his wife, Jan and Renee made the car show that much more enjoyable. I must say your blk. GT/CS is about as sexy as they come.
