This is how Us Old Poor Boys Have To Do It. Got My 390 S Back. Bought My GT/CS New. This Is My 2ND Engine Rebuild. Biger Cam Biger Bore So Us Old Men Can Go Faster.

I wouldn't call that totally poor. :wink: When I was in college I rebuilt a 289 in the back of my Dad's Suburban. I just had a couple of rail road ties to keep it from rolling around (because of course I was using the Suburban as my daily driver while I was rebuilding the engine)

Are you upgrading anything else like ported heads or exhaust manifolds? How far over did you bore it?
