It was an outstanding show up here in Grass Valley this last weekend!! Friday’s dinner dance was so much fun and the music was wonderful! Saturday’s air show was AWESOME!! Tim, you and Juan did an incredible job up there in the announcer’s booth!!! You kept everything flowing so well, and I had a wonderful time as one of your many volunteers!! Another great and safe air show!!

Tim,
Pic 3 from Renee'. Reminds me of a Dauntless Dive Bomber, but I suspect it is a trainer of some kind?

I love the paint on what I think is the TBM. From below, white like the clouds, from above blue like the sky and sea, and from the side a mixture of both.

Rob, indeed, we maxed the airport this year while wishing more of you would come and experience this. My guarantee is that you would get on the parallel street on the way home and strive to attain take-off speed in your Mustang same as these guys!

And yes, the "big blue" is the TBM we discussed earlier.

Nothin like the oldie-goldies...:icon_ecst
I was able to see the P-38 Glacier Girl during the restoration process in KY. But I'm also old enough to have worked on 3350 radial engines (DC-7's & Constellations). That model engine originated on the B-29's. (But I'm not THAT old) :wink: Maybe THAT's why I wear these hearing aids??
Looks like a good time was had by all.

Neil, interestingly those old transport 3350s are popular now as re-engineered racing radials, some putting out over 4,000 HP with others replacing hard to get Bristol sleeve-valve engines on British fighters.

Tim;
Watched the video. VERY nice. But I noticed you weren't wearing your Franklin Aviation cap. I'll have to take care of that!
