1968 68 tailight harness

I have 68 gt-cs and the body shop took it apart Now I get return it to working condition In the 1968 gt-cs book in shows all wires BUT I HAVE 2 WIRES ABOUT 10 INCHES LONG IN A RED COLOUR WITH AN EYELET ON ONE END AND A U SHAPED EYE ON OTHER END WHAT:: DO I DO WITH THEM ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED

Don't sound to be original. Maybe a old pigtail by a PO to connect to some past item...???

I had similar spliced wires in mine to go to a trunk light add-on and a couple that were just left hanging loose in the trunk... no idea what they were for so removed them.

As noted, a picture would be helpful to clarify.
