Times change: Ron Davis has closed the 2007-20012 GT/CS registry and forum. The Facebook page still flourishes. Seems a shame, a great loss to GT/CSdom. All respect and thanks to Ron, who did a fine job while he carried the considerable burden. :sad:

I'd guess one influence on continuing the GT/CS package is modern communications: if in 1968 you'd been able to sit down in your man-cave and instantly seen the charms of the package and the enthusiasm of the purchasers, it's very likely more of the California Specials would have moved faster...

I got them on sale at Moss Muscle, about 15% off, as I recall. I tried the original "Bullitt- style wheels, and they did ride on the ends of the original studs. If I hadn't already bought the Fanblades, I'd have done the 5mm trim required to make the stock wheels useful.

Looks like a great experience. No one will be able to match that for a long, long time. It would have worn anyone down (not that it shows too much in your pictures!). Plus which your car looks wonderful, especially in that setting. Kudos!
