  • I'll see you at the Port Angeles show! It's the Ponies at the Courthouse, right? My MNW peeps will be there too! Bring your '68 no matter the condition. I WILL be there with my '68 as her 1st show!
    Hi Steve!

Wow! I don't know what to say except thank you so much for the kind words.
That really means a lot. A lot of time went into the engine, the majority of that by my brother-in-law. I will pass your message on to him as well. When you put that much work into something and it gets recognized it really means a lot.

I have uploaded the full size pictures to my smugmug site.
Here is a link to the gallery

Hopefully these are helpful for you. I don't have my battery decal on in these pictures but will have that on once I get the car out of storage in late March.

Feel free to checkout my other galleries here

Please don't hesitate to ask more questions. I can't take additional pictures until I get the car out of storage but I would be happy to if needed.

Thanks again and best of luck with your car!
    Rich
Yes Rich , I went thru the entire gallery and your car stands out. Only one other car comes close out of all of them. I did find a way to download off here but I would love to have the full size pics. You did a great job and should be justifiably proud of a car like that. I would love to get mine there some day also. I do have a fast connection but sometimes they wont accept large photos in email. If you have a site with the full size photo's I would be very appreciative. I think us guys who have competed in concours can really appreciate your car. tthanks Rich
    Steve
    Hi!
    Thank you!
I assume you're looking for pics of my current CS the 289?
I got a lot of input from people on the site and from MCA judges and those knowledgable on Mustangs.
The car is not concours but I like to get it right where I can.

The pics are pretty large - before I send them, I want to make sure you're on a fast internet connection.
The other option is I can post them on a website for you to download them.
Let me know your preference and I'll send them. Thanks!

    Thanks!
    Rich
Pls come to Mustang NW's Roundup event in July. I had quite a few '68 Specials last year.
    Steve
Many Thank You's for the comments on the Tuning article.

So many times guys replace purrfectly good engines with not as good.
You'll be old enough to remember the term, Overhaul. And Valve Grind.
Some of my engines have not been apart or refreshed, I'm proud that FoMoCo built 40 years ago is still quite reliable.
    I have six 69 Cougars 2FE 4 XR7 2 verts and an Eliminator.
Timing chains and bearing shells and seals have been replaced.
Some have been rebuilt but some are unopened original builds that perform flawlessly
I'm a longtime proud Mercury owner just 100 miles from you guys (as a crow flies) in Victoria BC where gas is almost half of what it was in summer $6.75 a gallon. $3.80ish.
I'm now driving my 390 Indian Fire XR7 again.
    Enjoy your Ford!
Yeah it was on Craigslist (snohomish actually) and it is a nice car mechanicaly but it has some rust which I am tackling now in the off season. I had originally planned to replace the engine but it runs so nice that I dont think I will now. I drove it back to Poulsbo and it purred the whole way, no mechanical issues at all. I have a 66 coupe and a 65 fastback also so I have plenty of parts around here. I am hoping it will be ready for a few shows next year, see you then.
Is this the gold CS that was for sale in Edmonds Wa by chance, last month? And thank you for your offers!
