Wildfire Burns Vintage Shelby

A fire in the Wenatchee, Washington area blew through a wealthy neighborhood, and into the main portion of town, burning a Shelby GT500 along with many homes.

Very sad to hear the devastating news. Lots of memories and prized possessions gone in matter of minutes. We've had a unusually hot spring and summer in the Northwest this year and I hope everyone is very careful with their fireworks. I know I am not going to buy anything other than a few fountains this year for the kids. I heard that City of Auburn WA reported that they had 47 minor brush fires and 81 fireworks related calls already during the month of June.

My heart goes out to the people affected by the fire and a huge thank you to the 250 fire fighters battling the blaze.

Pretty philosophical...."it's just stuff" said the man when referring to his burnt Shelby.

Either that or he'd just blown the engine and had it insured for $20K more than it was worth. Still, sad to see another one die.
