Fake coil wire made from some vacuum hose and a couple spark plug wire ends. A better method is to use a real spark plug wire or coil wire so it matches the rest of the wires, but cut off and tape over the wires.

Ok Arlie, I suppose just removing the coil wire when parked wouldn't work too?

Pretty easy for the theives to figure out why it won't start. The fake wire should confound them enough to hopefully give up.

Our solution ...

When we installed the new Painless wiring harness in our Special last year, we also spliced in a "kill switch" with a hidden key. When we park it somewhere I just turn the hidden key to the "off" position, pocket the key along with the regular keys and off we go. There is a generic black plastic cap that is a push fit over the key unit so that it "camos" right in with the rest of the car and doesn't stand out or look out of place even if they looked right at it. If anyone actually tried to hotwire our car it just wouldn't start or run .... and they probably wouldn't take the time to try to figure it out ...

Trunk monkey might be funny but a bit of a knock off of Halicki's Tiger on the back seat scene. I think it is the scene with the dancing girl going into a club which distracts old mate stealing the car. Man I am getting old, can't think of the car, club or theif's name! Wish I could remember the important things!
