Should I buy a GT/CS even if not with desired engine?

I would buy a GT/CS even without the engine I would like. With the prices of the cars being that they are collector cars and I would like to get one because they are so rare, even without the engine that I wanted. I probably spend a lot of time looking for the engine that I wanted and have to settle for something else but, would still be happy. I would like a 302. My best friend has this wonderful white 302 and that car is just so sweet.
