The late Dr. Adrian Rogers (1931 to 2005) offered the following
observation several years ago and it bears poignant significance
today:

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the rich
out of freedom. What one person receives without working for,
another person must work without receiving. The government
cannot give to anybody anything the government does not first
take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that
they do not have to work because the the other half is going to take
care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no
good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work
for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply the wealth by dividing it."

God gives every bird his worm, but he does not throw it into the nest.

When the Government accepts responsibility for people, then people no longer take responsibility for themselves.

Happinesss can't be found when you seek it for your self.
But when you give it to others, it will find its way back to you.
That's the mystery of happiness, it grows when shared.

A mother's patience is like a tube of toothpaste
it's never quite all gone.

An ounce of motherhood is worth a pound of clergy. (Spanish Proverb)

People too often foget each other
but everyone remembers Mother.

The happiest people are those who
are too busy to notice whether they
are in control or not.

Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered,
you will never grow. (Ronald E. Osborn)
