1968 New here, some information to share

Many of you already know me from other forums or various shows. I sell vintage Ford muscle parts for a living and because of the way I sell parts I needed to know the part numbers for the fillers that go in the tail light panel behind the Thunderbird tail lights. I Googled them and looked it up in the MPC and could not find it (they were obsolete early on so revised editions do not list them). Some of you already know, but for those that do not, I have a collection of well over 1000 Ford Master Parts Catalogs so I set out and did some serious digging. I found all the numbers and thought I would post them here so that they would be available to anybody else who was looking to ID them (maybe they should be included in the special parts list on this site?). Anyway, here are the special tail panel parts for a GT/CS GT350/GT500:

tail light panel:
"40324 Panel Lower Back 1968 body style F (65)GT/CS, GT350/GT500 C8ZZ-6540324-A" (it was special because it came pre modified with holes cut for the fillers)

small fillers:
"27996 Reinforcement Rear Lamp Opening Inner 1968 body style F (65)GT/CS, GT350/GT500 C8ZZ-6527996-A qty 4"

large fillers that go where the stock Mustang lamps would normally fit:
"27970-1 Reinforcement Quarter Panel Lamp Opening 1968 body style F (65)GT/CS, GT350/GT500 C8ZZ-6527970-A right, C8ZZ-6527971-A left, qty 1 ea"
