Took the Foster-Stevenson GT/CS to a local show today. It was a great show out under the trees with LOTS of Mustangs. The day was beautiful and I had a really great time! It was sponsered by a local Mustang club of which I am not a member.

It was a "participant judged" show, and my 'baby' took second place behind an absolutely BEAUTIFUL '68 GT390. I know Bill who owns the GT390, and he is a realy nice guy, and I am very proud to have come in behind him by only a couple of votes (so I heard)!! There were about 15-20 cars in my class.

Spent a bit of time with Ron Moore (Clubpro) and his wife Jan, and got quite a few really nice comments on my car. It was the only GT/CS on display!

Cory, I had the book on display with my car, and got a lot of good comments on that too!! Thank you for putting such a wonderful book together for us!!

Here are a few pics of the day...

"HEY - I know her!!" :)
That's a really nice plaque to go with your trophy of a couple weeks ago! Keep this up & ole' "PFSlim" will have to send you a binder on how to build a trophy wall.... (that's if he doesn't come and take the car away from you ;-) CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thank you all. It was a great show and I had a great time! Lot's of Mustangs to look at. My idea of a wonderful day!!!

Robert, that red GT350 belongs to a guy named Norm from J&K Mustang, and yes, it is a clone. It is nice though. He did a good job on it.

Yes, he seemed to be inspired more toward Shelby "coupe" than GT/CS...
I was intrigued with the pic of that '70 Twister Special. Was that also a clone Renee?

Tim,

I was not able to locate the owner of that '70 Twister Special so I could talk to them, but I am sure it was a clone. I know that there were very few of them made, and I believe I read somewhere that the Twister Specials only came with a 428SCJ and the 351C neither of which was under the hood of that car. Clone...

I will bet that the twister is not a clone. Very unique car and not cloned often or at all in my experience.

Engines come and go in cars all the time. Hood stripes indicate a 428.

Did it say what engine was in it? All FE motors look virtually the same.

There was a cloned Twister Special at the Portland, Or swap meet this year. Looking at Renee's picture, does the hood say "408"? It might be a Windsor stroker motor, which would tend to lean it towards clone a little more.

I was not able to talk to the owner of this car, but the show registration card did not mention anything about it being a "Twister Special". All it said was "Mach I". I read that there are VERY FEW of the Twisters left in existance, so if it was genuine, I am sure the owner would have proudly displayed that on the car! If I see it again, I will make sure I get a chance to talk to whoever owns it!!
