1968 Console wiring question/HELP

my new car needs some work. So, the console lights in rear and cubby have power (with test light) and new bulbs. But do not work. Am I missing a ground??

what are these for? the spade is hot

There's a spade receptacle on the console rear courtesy lite, in between the 2 wires for the bulbs. Make sure the wire is grounded first- not hot

This spade and plug in are at the front of the console. The lights at the rear of console do have a spade plugged into them (using a mirror and standing on my head. I could see a little)
