I found an article on installing the upper console in an old Mustang Monthly article (2004). Good info for anyone contemplating this addition.

Neil, I found a red one for sale near me. Is putting on new black vinyl doable or should I keep looking for a black one? Also, should I consider dyeing it black?

@Bobsdad I think Dying it would be the best thing to do. Installing it is the challenging part since the brackets go under the headliner.
