Well Carlisle is over. I was told that around four thousand cars showed up. One 68 GTCS attended from Canada. I don't know how many modern ones but quite a few showed up . I was parked in building T, After parking I looked up and they had a High Country sign hanging from the ceiling It was 3 by 6 foot vinyl sign. I talked to a father and a 12 year old boy. Father was a Gm fan and the boy liked Mustangs. We started talking and the boy got a twinkle in his eyes The more we talked the more excited he got. That made the show.
Carlisle had some rare cars displayed in building T. A Branded car The main feature about this was the vinyl top. It was special. Numerous drag cars. 67 Pace car a few 70. 71 and 72 white Olympic cars.1970 Twister Special. one 68 California special owned by Joel . When it comes to posting pictures on the website I'm lost. Oh by the way I got the High Country Sign. Wow.

Here is the sign Tom got from Carlisle.

Sorry I missed it this year - sounds like it was a good turnout and he said the weather cooperated as well!

Looks like they took an old advertisement and had a vinyl copy made up.
I would think a sign/print shop would be able to do it. Not sure of the cost. Prices seem to vary online from $20-$100+

Tom got it at a great price though!

Tom,
I have these pictures that you emailed me. Not sure if these are the ones you mentioned wanting to post. Thought I would save Arlie the trouble if they are.
If you have others let us know.

Car looks great as always.

Love the new stand by the way. Did you buy it, make it or have someone make it for you? I have seen similar but this one is really nice and like the matching color scheme. You could start a business selling those, I'd be 1st in line!

Good to see you in Carlisle Tom. The car looked great as usual. Nice that you got the banner. I really enjoyed the display in Building T of the special edition cars. Real good show and perfect weather.

Tom,

Your car looked great and you are correct that they had some nice "Special Edition" cars in building "T". I liked the tents that were provided throughout the fairgrounds this year and banners galore. I also found some deals down in the vender area, so it was a great show as far as I was concerned.

I didn't catch if the brown was original but he had about six different versions of the tops. From what I understand that's what made them special. In the program they had a list of all specials. I didn't realize that they had that many.
