1968 68 CS/GT Convertible for sale!-??

Ha!...gocha!...LOL!...Just thought I'd get some thoughts and humor about this classified ad from a Mustang monthly I uncovered from December 1982. Before I have to eat crow...there is no such thing as a 68 CS conv't...is there?
How 'bout that Shelby price below it? Oh,if we had just known then!!!

Though they appears to have been no convertibles built at the factory (subject has been discussed a few times before) IMHO there was likely at least one dealer that built some but no documentation has been found at this time that I'm aware of

I think Galpin Ford used to modify GT/CS`s in the ole days, maybe they made this one.
And there was one known as the "Okie Special", (clone) not sure what ever happened to that. I don`t think it was turquoise though.

There was a white "Okie Special" at a show here in Phoenix a few years ago. I didn't get a chance to talk to the owner or get any history on it. Obviously a clone and the owner certainly wasn't trying to hide that fact.

I remember seeing the "Okie Special" on Ebay awhile back. It had been stripped of it's name I think. Not sure if it ever sold.

$10,000 in 1982 is approx $22,000 in 2009. The GT500KR has done well over time!

The owner of Colorado Mustangs in Denver built a GT/CS convertible clone and I believe a fastback clone.
