1968 289 engine detail

Anyone seen lift brackets/lugs on a '68 289?

Getting different views on other forums as to if they were used or not... as I have the engine out for rebuild and a pair of them is kicking around was thinking of adding them, but am unsure if they were used on the '68 Mustangs.

I have never seen these on the 289. Photos of the SJ line show large hooks hooked around the exhaust manifolds when they are lowering the engine/trans combo into the car.

Yep, saw that. Thre was a post there with a reply that indicated they may have been installed and removed on the line. Differing views.

Just wondering if anyone here has seen them installed or not..

The ones picture on eBay, look like the common ones found on 351W engines.

Yep, they were also used on XR XT XW XY Falcons with 289, 302 (Windsor and Cleveland) and 351 here in Australia... so are readily available here.

Just trying to ascertian if the two I have with a C Code are originals or something the PO "collected". Engine is out and not sure if they should go on or not. Looking like no...
