Wow! I had no idea that they HCS came in a FB body! Very cool!
Yes, the 1966 & 1967 HCS cars came in all body styles. It's just the 1968 HCS and GT/CS cars that were only coupes.

So if there were 416 total High Country cars for 1967, how come the Marty report says this car is one of 1189 with this paint code?

I think this is a very rare car, very few HCS fastbacks made.

Have fun, Dave

But were there really 1189 cars painted Columbine Blue, which is a HCS specific color? I know you could order just about any color if you twisted your dealer's arm, but it seems unlikely there would be that many special orders of that color.

Maybe it means 1189 cars that had special order paint, not just that particular color.

Cool step back down memory lane. Not my style, but it was all the rage at the time.

VIN: 7R02C223348 Columbine Blue, C-code 289, 4 speed, sold in Julesburg, CO.

Bob, do you have this one logged in the Registry?

Yep, he's in the registry, Jon, long time Denver guy and was in our local Mustang with me years ago and did move out of state. When here, the car, as I recall it, was not a hotrod but original for the most part. Marti reports state that 416 '67 Mustangs were HCS. I don't know how many were coupes, fastbacks or convs, but I do have 13 fastbacks in the registry including this car. FYI, I have (5- S CODES), (4- C CODES), (2- A CODES), (1 T CODE), and 1 ??? Bob Teets here, and GOOOOD nite, now, and sleep tight, brothers.
