    Probably a silly VIN question...

Initially I thought they started with 2xxxxx, but it's looking like they started in the late 19xxxx's. I thought the 2 was the start of the Flat Rock sequences from what I had read on other sites, but I guess I'm wrong... oops.

    Probably a silly VIN question...

This is probably a silly question, sorry in advance if it is. VIN's are consecutive aren't they? My 07 GT/CS is 200266 and was made in June/06. Does this mean it was one of the first 07's made, and probably one of the first GT/CS's? If so, is there anyway to find out how many CS's were made...

    Tips on finding a specific 68 GT/CS?

The more I look at the picture, the more I think my wife is mistaken. That has to be a white vinyl roof on it. Looking at other 68's with vinyl, the roof ends at the exactly the same place where the supposed paint ends on this one.

    Tips on finding a specific 68 GT/CS?

To resurrect an old post... The ICBC trail didn't get me anywhere. Unfortunately, due to privacy restrictions and what not, they will not do a search on my wife's fathers name (Thomas Bennett - I shouldn't really call him my father-in-law since he had passed before I even had a chance to meet...

    Tips on finding a specific 68 GT/CS?

I don't think it would still be like that, that's just how it was in the 70's. Who knows what colour it is today, if it's even still around.

    Tips on finding a specific 68 GT/CS?

I have looked in the registry, not only by color but also by playing with some of the other options (lower console, white stripe, etc.), but no luck. Who knows though, I could be looking right at it and not know it. A search for people by the name of Penticost has come up empty (with spelling...

    Tips on finding a specific 68 GT/CS?

She says that she doesn't remember any woodgrain trim at all on it. She's also pretty positive that it was not a vinyl top, but actually painted white by the original owner (yes, sounds crazy, but it was the late 60's after all). One thing I didn't realize though is that ownership records...

    Tips on finding a specific 68 GT/CS?

Sorry, that's about all the information we have. My wife was about 14 or 15 when her dad sold it. The first owner (foolishly) painted the top white to match the stripe. We will try to come up with more details, but for now that's about all we have. Thanks for the reply!

    Tips on finding a specific 68 GT/CS?

Can anyone offer any tips on finding a very specific 68 GT/CS that was at one point in Langley, British Columbia, Canada? My wifes father owned it for 9 or 10 years from 68 until 77 or 78. He purchased it used (a couple months old) and sold it to a neighbor with the last name of Penticost...
