    Help I got a ticket

Have you got aftermarket decklid and endcaps? Or, which parts are aftermarket and which parts are original?

1968 Shelby project or GT/CS S-code What to buy?

I would definately go with the shelby. The shelby as a basketcase is worth more than a restored GT/CS. You can always get a GT/CS anyday, but Shelbys are hard to come by and rare. Just be sure to verify whatever cars authenticity that you choose. Good luck.

    deck lid tension rods

My decklid comes up with ease by itself. But you guys don't want to put too much tension on the rods, because when they fly up like that, the decklid has to suddenly stop when the hinge stops. This puts a lot of stress on the decklid. The old fiberglass on the orignal decklids has a tendency...

    1968 S-code 390ci GT/CS for sale

Wow, i didn't even see that. It kind of blends into the rest of the mess. Car doesn't have A/C, much less, factory A/C. Maybe "Father and Son" got tired of spending money on this fake :-\

    1968 S-code 390ci GT/CS for sale

Are you the seller of this vehicle classicsguy? This vehicle looks like a possible fake to me. From what i can tell, the quarters have been replaced and done so poorly. Fiberglass decklid and endcaps are non-original, their origin appears to be from the ill fitting Maier Fiberglass. As...

    Question for Mechanics????

Are you talking about the intake manifold gasket, the one that connects the intake with the head? Thanks.

    Question for Mechanics????

The engine is single overhead cam. Would the cylinder get compression with a bad valve spring or bent valve? I checked the injectors by pulling the rail out and cranking the engine, they are all spitting fuel. I replaced the ignition module and ignition coil, but no luck yet. I don't get why...

    Question for Mechanics????

The cylinder has good compression. I can't find a vacuum leak. I see a spark when i pull the wire off, could there be bad voltage to the plug?

    Question for Mechanics????

Hey guys, just got a 1988 mustang convertible. I know its off topic, but i ran in to a problem i can't solve. I replaced the engine, and its missing. cylinder number 4 is missing. I replaced the spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor. When i pull the wire off when its running, i can see the spark...

Buying a GT/CS, need advice of experts, is it authentic, est value?

I would be very careful about buying it. The carpet is covered up, maybe rusted out floor pans? Check the cowl vents for rust. Look underneath the dash. Also, the decals on the decklid and endcaps are not original. Maybe a fake? Just be careful.

    Lucas Fog Lights question

These are not correct for the GT/CS. they should have chrome backs and fog lens. The value of you lights would be from $20-$75 depending on their condition.

    MUSTANG IRS

Have any of you done the 99' cobra IRS(independent rear suspension) switch? I just finished it on my car. I couldn't swallow paying over 1k for the brakets, so I cut and welded made some myself. The car can now accept 17 inch cobra r wheels with a wider wheel base. Now i have rear disc...

    GT/CS FAKE? on EBay

I never accused the guy of fraud. I just let him know to make sure the car was legit before passing it off as a true 1968 Gt/CS. You would think the seller of a car that he wants more than 10k's would at least be interested in these flaws. Something is fishy.
