I could see why it my be confusing. I'll either dump the pic altogether or try to think of a better way to make sure it's not confused with the actual car.

Mine is blue too, but it's a different shade than the engine. Wierd, It's got a grey tint to it. I know it's the original and has never been painted though.

The original bracket is bolted on, and all the aftermarket drop brackets I've seen looked exactly the same as the original, just taller. They are bolted on too. I even used the original bolts when I put headers on. No problems here. I guess if you want to permanently alter your car by welding...
