1968 Are these the correct side markers?

Something doesn't quite sound right with that auction. Why would the black paint be faded if the markers have never been in the sun?

Well, they are correct for late build '68's. Believe the changeover date was in early '68, not sure of exact timeframe.

Early '68's had the two piece reflector that fit in an indentation in the rear 1/4 and larger rectangular bezel... these are the late surface mounted style.
