Hi all .

We are restoring my father's 64&1/2 he's had it since 1969 but we have a major problem ,back in the days when they didn't know how precious these cars were my father decided to sell the original motor , now we can't find it .
The car came out with a 289 Generator type ,5 bolt bell housing and I was hoping that if you know anyone that has or anyone knows someone that can help me find this type of motor would be doing us a great favor to help us locate one .

Thanks in advance

You will probably have better success inquiring on vintage-mustang.com
They deal more in the early model Mustangs. Its a good website for ALL Mustangs.

I have a 1964 cast date, 5 bolt, hipo "k" code motor, in our 1967 Fastback. Very hard motors to find. Falcons and Comets came with them alot. I might go to a Falcon/Comet website.

Hi Eric,
My father has a 64 1/2 D code convertible that we restored 4 years ago. I do not have a 5 bolt block but do have the 5 bolt automatic transmission. Marty

As we spoke earlier on the phone our trans is 4spd manual.
For us in Malta chanses to find anything for these cars are very slim so I have to rely on people like you who are passionate and helpful when we need parts .
As I said this motor is not so urgent but we need it to have the car back in its original glory so if you keep an eye out for us it would be greatly appreciated .
Regards
Eric.
