My Garage

I have a floor console in my 68 gt/cs. I want to replace the am radio with a period correct am-FM radio or a new am-FM radio. I was told that having a console, there is a difference in the length of the radio knobs or the stems that the knob slides onto. What do I have to look for so I don't get the wrong radio. Thanks for any input.
