VOTE NOW for the 2012 Calendar - Ends Fri Oct 21

OK, it's time to vote for the 2012 CS.com Calendar. Choose your favorite 12 photos. Remember, you only get one chance to vote, so pick your 12 carefully.

The top 13 cars will have their own month or cover. (I give the choice of the cover shot to the car with the most votes)

PLEASE READ: To help see the images better I've set up a preview page:http://californiaspecial.com/calendar2012.htm Please look at those full size images closely before voting. You might want to print out that page and choose your top 12, then come back and vote.

I'll keep this poll up until late on Fri Oct 21st. When voting please pay attention to which checkbox goes with which photo. The checkbox is to the lower left of each photo.

Thanks to all those who sent in your photos and good luck!

I'll be needing a boost if I want my 2012 GT/CS to make it on the 2012 calendar, my vote count is not going well...

I'm a little late in announcing the winners, but I'm guessing you all did the math already.

So the top 13 (12 months + cover) spots go to:

Pic 14 with 45 votes
Pic 05 with 44 votes
Pic 09 with 44 votes
Pic 01 with 43 votes
Pic 11 with 40 votes
Pic 17 with 40 votes
Pic 12 with 33 votes
Pic 02 with 33 votes
Pic 04 with 33 votes
Pic 16 with 33 votes
Pic 18 with 29 votes
Pic 10 with 29 votes
Pic 07 with 28 votes

I've already sent out my "need more info" email to the top 13, so if you haven't already replied please do so soon. That way I can start working on the layout this weekend and then get to the printer for proofs.

Thanks again to everyone who submitted photos. It's going to be another great calendar this year.

And as a reminder the photos that didn't make it into the top 13 will still be featured on a collage page for January 2013.

The top 13 - with one exception - are the ones I picked. Next year just ask me and save a lot of energy. Just kidding.

I'd really like to know what was wrong with my Number Three picture, that only fifteen out of fifty-something voters thought it was among the top twelve. My goodness!

Frank, instead of looking for what's wrong, look at the ones that scored high and look at angles, lighting and their presentations. Having a new model Mustang puts you at a slight disadvantage against all the old iron so it's definitely going to be in presentation. You have a beautiful car but it's tough competition.

It's not that your photo or car is bad it's that it's going to have to say wow!! Just my 2 cents.

That's why I thought of the idea to put my 2012 GT/CS pic that had a 1924 model T besides it to show the evolution in 88 years of Ford Didn't work, congrats to all that will be on the calendar, they all look greatI'll be trying again next year for sure.

Interesting to note that the photos with other items in them don't always fair so well. Once in awhile they work out, something to be learned for this type photo I guess. Looks like the focus needs to be on the car and the car alone most of the time. I like a nice background that doesn't have distractions like other cars or people yet has a subtle beauty to it to enhance the car. To much can be a distraction.

Loving photography I go out on outdoor photography shoots all the time and I spend all day making sure there aren't any power lines or wires, no houses, no cars, no people and the list goes on. I try to eliminate all non natural evidence and at times I have to remind myself I do want a few pictures of my kids and dogs and other things for memory sakes.

I guess lime gold rules this year. Many thanks to those who voted for our car, and I really like the photo with the Model T Ford!!! The Model T a great car, and I really love them (I thought of placing some of my cars with my GT/CS for the calendar, also). Thanks also to Jon for taking the time to put together this calendar.......they should make great X-mas presents. Russ
