I'm looking for a GT/CS '68 California Special for my husband. We will be married for 15yrs July '06 and I would like to give him his dream car.Can anyone help me?I would prefer this car to be in Canada but will look at those in the States.Would like it ready to go but a fixer upper would be the thing for him.Re-do the car the way he wants. Please email asap..

**MORE INFORMATION**
I asked my husband what he would look for in his 'dream car' and this is what I have come up with.If any of this doesnt make sense please let me know.

If he had is choice he would like a 302 boss(first choice) OR 489 racing motor ?? either 6/8cylider..6cyl for gas mil..8cyl for muscle, prefer a convertable soft top, standard. He would like a fixer upper to do his self(which guy wouldnt right?).

I'll try to add more info as I can about what he is looking for...thanks

don't want to wait that long and I am chicken to do the no reserve thing (it is a no reserve auction). I know what the car is worth and am not willing to take less than that for it.

I see. I sure hope the one they have up for auction goes for a high price. The description they gave for it sounds pretty good. They are calling it "extremely rare".

a Boss 302 Mutang will set you back a minimum of $45,000. the 489 racing motor makes no sense. There are 289's, 302, 390 and 428's. The 428 cars will cost you 60k plus.

you need to ask him to be VERY specific on what he wants. If he said he wants a "racing 289" then maybe he needs to do some more window shopping.

Since Boss 302 was mentioned, it's possible that Boss 429 was the intended pick. Then there's always the 429 SCJ ;) ...
