Quarter Panel Question?

Hi Guys,
Were the '68 GT/CS quarter panels the same quarter panel as the regular Mustang coupe with only a different panel extension cap bolted on, or did they use completely different panels?
Thanks, Greg

Greg, Yes, the Qtr. Panals were the same as a regular Mustang. Just be sure you get the right one for your car. There were two versions, early models had recessed reflectors and later models had bolt on reflectors. Mike

The problem with the reproductions is the shape of the scoop area. It does not fit the fiberglass scoop properly. We just had one done and had to cut that part out of the old quarter and weld it in the new one.

The other issue with the repops is the flat section on the under side of the panel - the repops do not have this feature. I had to cut this off the old quarter and weld it in to match.
