Can anyone tell me if I got the right color carpet for my car. I ordered a interior kit and the seats and headliner are the correct colors and the color on the carpet box says it is Moss Green from OER. The last car show I went to I looked at a 68 fastback that was the same color as my special and it had a darker color green carpet in it. I have heard that there are three different color of green carpet for the 68 mustang. here are the codes for my car.

paint: I

Interior: 2G

Any info will be a great help.

Thank You

The prior post, according to my documentation, is the only color in 1968. This was the only green interior color in 1968. I have found variations on colors from different vendors on carpet and vinyl. The car you may have seen may have had a custom choice and a dark dark green carpet. In 1969 they offered a dark green carpet.

I've had 2 '68's with the Ivy Gold interior. Both had original light green carpet.

Here are some examples of unrestored cars for your comparison. Sorry some are difficult to determine the true in person color, digit cameras, settings and lighting all play a part in that. Likely have another 12-20 examples. Tried to keep them all from San Jose and all from the spring to reduce the chance of capturing a possible running change during other periods of time/production or other suppliers to other car assembly plants.

Hope they help
