That is a 302 or 289 in the ad. Definitely not a Cleveland. Where did you find that code/stamping?

Here is the engine VIN. According to what I've been able to find on the web a 0M number is a 351C or an Australian 302.
I suppose it could be a 1980 302. Would a 1980 block be stamped like a 1970 block?

I found reference to assembly plant "M" being in Mexico. They did start producing cars in 1970, so it could be a Mexican block 302 from 1970.

[sigh] I can be such a putz at times. I forgot that the 2nd character on the engine VIN is the assembly plant, not the engine code.
Thanks for the subtle reminder, Steve.
If you'd gone with me I wouldn't have made that mistake!!!

Unfortunately, I've been hanging out at home playing nurse, because Deb fell and broke her ankle in two places. Needed surgery to install a plate and 7 screws.

My guess is a 1970 engine. My GNS VIN was 8R01J12346. On the block it was 8R123143. So it the number zero not the letter O. A was a Ford assembly plant in Atlanta Georgia. It looks like a double stamped A to me
Sorry to here about Deb!!! The ability to walk is highly underrated!! Nurse Steve to the rescue!!

I definitely have new respect for people that choose to be caregivers as a career.

No Kidding!! I could not think of a harder job! And many times the patient is not that patient! I have been on crutches many times in my adult life. It sucks.... Especially if you have stairs!

And we do have stairs! She's pretty much stuck to the top floor and I have to keep reminding her that I work better when asked instead of ordered.
