1968 High Country SpecialS: More J-codes than GT/CS?

I maybe wrong but I read someplace that HCS had more J-code engines than the GT/CS even though they made fewer HCS.

Is this true? Maybe High CountryBob may know more information about this?

Hi - There were nearly 1000 CS's with the 302. Less than 50 of HCS had the 302. The real challenge is finding a 390 (X or S) HCS. Casey

Could the author have mistaken R-codes for J-codes? There are more R-code HCSs (9) than GT/CSs (3).
