1968 Are these shock absorbers correct for the 1968 GT/CS?

I would call those NORS - new old recent stock. Dealer service replacements.

Still vintage, but as I recall the 'Motorcraft' boxes came out in the early 1970's.

I'll let Marty or Jeff answer the color question.

Scott is correct in saying that these are service replacements and they were all painted bronze. The only ones that were black were installed on Ford's assembly line. These would be 100% correct because of the C8 number and the Auto-Flex brand. You would need to repaint them semigloss black. Often returned NOS parts were boxed in newer boxes. The later shocks would say Motercraft on them. Marty
