So, just heard a casting call this morning for cars made between 1962 and 1969 for a T.V. series being filmed here locally.

I have fired off an email to the address given and await a reply.

Could be cool to see car in a series but I won't get overly excited until things develop. I'm sure there are plenty of cars that will come out of the woodwork for this kind of opportunity. If selected, I plan to use any funds earned for an engine examination/repair prior to next summer's trip.....which might be to ABQ NM and then back up through Denver for a MCA show in mid July.

While it sounds nice I would be vary concerned about how your car will be treated when you aren't there to keep an eye on it. I have heard horror stories about cars getting damaged and the studio just blowing off the owner's claim for the damages.

I have two friends whose cars were used in movies, both were compensated very well and the cars were treated well.

Mercury Montego station wagon, used in the Brady Bunch movies.

1968 Mercury Cougar XR7, used in From Dusk 'til Dawn.

...I've seen good and bad with borrowed movie cars. One early 60s Chrysler Imperial driven in street seens - nicely cared for and owner well compensated. Another with a '68 Ranchero thrashed and the owner blown off... Nonetheless, you'll know what to do when the time comes :)

You can use my line if you need to........"We own a crematory near here and I know how to run it."
