I did not know until today that out beloved gt/cs' are rarer than the '68 Shelbys?!!! 4451 Shelbys were made and of course only 4118 hcs & gt/cs.
Going to bed smarter tonight.

Just because something is rare does not necessary make it valuable. A good example is a bench seat in a Mustang is rare, it is rare because most people wanted buckets seats. To have great value it must be very desirable and rare.

Before the hate mail starts I think our are cars are desirable or I would not have so many!

Apples to oranges. GT/CS is a Coupe, there are no regular production Shelby Coupes.
Most of the 1968 Shelby Mustangs came with either a 428PI or 428CJ.

Total production: 4450

Total Convertible: 1324
Total Fastback: 3126
GT350 Convertible: 404
GT350 Fastback: 1053
GT500 Convertible: 402
GT500 Fastback: 1020
GT500KR Convertible: 518
GT500KR Fastback: 1053

A Pebble Beige GT/CS is the lowest production color. Is it coveted for it's rarity? LOL

Kevin Marti has production number at 4451 instead of 4450. Wonder why the discrepancy? You think he's including the Green Hornet in his count? even though it wasn't part of the 68 serialized production?....
