Very rare, but I understand Ford stopped using it after a few months because they kept blowing up. Definately a novelty piece for the guy that has to have everything (would look good between your 427 SOHC and Boss 429).

That engine was one of the bigger pieces of junk ever conceived. Definately NOT one of Ford's better ideas. And the worst part about the story is that they (Ford) wouldn't allow the teams to go back to the tried-and-true 289 once all the tunnel ports started grenading. I've even heard that the engines were sometimes delivered with parts missing............like push rods for instance. They got it together with the Boss 302, but still a big black mark on Ford's racing history. For a while there, they could do no wrong. But the certainly got that one wrong!
