Redlands Car Show and Chili cookoff July 19th

If anyone is around Inland Empire Saturday, Sullivan Park Redlands, California.

Alas my car isnt show worthy but if this was a chili eating contest be warned I would be bringing my share of the trophies back to the forum!! LOL! :cheesy:

Will be out with my niece (8) and nephew (9) to show em the cool rides. My CS wont be entered but will prolly drive it over with the kids. They love riding in the CS although they can barely see out the window. :wink:

I might have planned to check it out, but we are having a Western National Classic Cougar show this Saturday.

Anyone in the Cypress/Los Alamitos area is free to come and see some Mercury Cougars.

Courtyard by Marriot, just east of the Katella and Valleyview intersection, on Katella.

Saturday 9-3pm.

Yeeesh...good thing I dont live there anymore. LOL!

My sister had a 68 Cougar (I had a 67 Mustang) back in high school all original and in great shape. We called it the green machine as it was metallic green and it was tank.

Didnt corner so good...one time I took a turn and it kept going straight...through a fence..and into a field. Towed it out and barely a scratch. Ahh memories. :wink:

Sooo...no CS's and no Cougars. Awesome car show...everytime you thought you saw everything there was another lane for viewing. Love that super sport with the 20's and the new Boss 302.

Thanks. So many cars didnt eve get to the chili....it was like 85-90. Shade was in demand. :smile:

Yeah that fastback is something...I just realized what it reminded me of. The Blue Angeles!! Same color scheme and looks like its smuggling some jet intakes.

Tim where are the artificial brake coolers on the Boss? I did think of your rides so made sure to take those shots...for review. :smile:

... That's right, that was one of Larry Shinoda's design improvements that was carried over into the '70 Fastback design ...
