Oversize threads (width)

How/why are some threads physical dimensions so wide that they won't fit the screen? (ruppstang's current thread is this way) Even if you scroll across, it all won't fit. Shrinking it to fit the screen makes the print too hard to read.

It's because the images are too big. They set the width of the screen. That's why when you upload a photo directly to the forums it shows only as a small thumbnail until you click on it to enlarge it. That way it doesn't mess with the formatting of the thread.

Unfortunately there's really not much to do about it other then have the person who posted the photos use smaller versions or a clickable thumbnail.
