HI,
the NPD catalogue lists them as Hood Pin Mount Brackets. In the 2006 catalouge they are shown on page 150. I ahve seen them for sale from a few of the other vendors. I think you can see what they look like if you search for them on ebay. Cost about $40 for the pair..

so how are they attached? Are they welded on? screwed on?

They screw on where the two holes on the side of the bracket are.
