Does anybody have any documentation on the values of 68 California Special 390 4bbl, auto with air. I am in the process of redoing my yearly insurance update and want to ensure that I have the proper values. The insurance company is Hagerty. BTW the car is in decent shape.

Thanks for the help. Doug

This is probably the only thing I use NADA for. I use high value.

Thanks so much - I just looked at NADA and I am sure that Hagerty did the same. They did not adjust my values when I renewed - they said they were "fine", they also said to send some supporting information which I just did. I sent NADA copies (for all my cars) to Hagerty asking that they adjust UP my values.

Yes of course I sent photos as well.

This site is great....

As a follow up Hagerty got back to me with-in 30 min of my emails and photos - They raised ALL my cars to over the maxium level; not by much but over. Interesting note percentagewise the CS was higher over NADA max than the other cars. They must like Red CSGT 390's -

That is good to know.

I have JC Taylor, and last year when I wanted to increase the value on my 428CJ they said I would need a professional appraisal in order to go over their theoretical limit.

Hagerty also uses Old Car Price Guide.

They've always been good about raising the agreed value without much fuss for me. They have also recommended to me to raise it some years.

They had no problem reaching and going over NADA High Retail of $48,360; of course I had to show many photos.

Below is what NADA show for a 428/360HP CJ

Base Price $10,750 $18,300 $37,200
Options

428/360 HP CJ V8 Engine 45% 45% 45%
TOTAL PRICE $15,588 $26,535 $53,940
