What is the original color of the brake drums? I am cleaning my wheel wells now and want to paint the drums. My CS is a daily driver, so I dont need the exact paint number....just the basic color (silver, black, grey?). Thanks! Casey

Casey,
Cast gray should work for you. On my car I phosphated the drum and then blacked out a portion along the edge and face of the drum. Ford blacked out the drum on cars that had the styled steel wheel option.

Dark cast finish on the cast surfaces with a shinny machined surface around the edge of the brake drum. As Danny mentioned the faces on cars with styled steel wheels were blacked out typically with a large brush dipped in semi-gloss black applied in a sloppy manner with the drums installed on the rearend
