Rear shock Plate needed

The car we are reconstructing has the rear shock plate rusted. Basically, the area just behind the back seat cushion area back over the hump to where the mounts are for the trunk hinges are located.

Usually this does not rust, but our car was sitting for a long time. Mice nested in the under side where the shocks mount. Caused rust.

We need a new part and it is not in any of the cats we have. Any one have any ideas of a fix, or have a 67-8 parts car that we cud have that part??

Thanks for the info. We are in the KC area. Paul fabricated the shock plate out of sheet metal. Did a nice job. Will keep these guys in mind for Disc brake conversion.

Hi Brandon,

The car is in Weatherby Lake. Paul, my brother, and I are doing a rotissorie resto. Have replaced the rear frame rails, rebuilt the rear shock plates, replacing the rear quarters, have media Blasted the car, in other words doing the whole deal. If you want to see what your car looks like naked, come see us some time. Dont think there is one bolt left on her today. Expect to see some photos in the gallery sometime soon.
