The seller states that he decided to build it after seeing Kevin Marti's car.

That is a great looking cat! At one point I seriously considered turning my '67 XR-7 GT into a convertible also. My inspiration was also Kevin's car that I had seen in a magazine article, probably in the late 80's.

Years later when I met Kevin and toured his shop here in Phoenix I told him the story and he walked me over to where he stored his convertible. It was really cool to see in person!

My boss has been slowly building a 1968 Cougar XR7 GT-E convertible.



Plans are for a modern FE 427, with top loader 4 speed.
