Turning 50
ok, so for me turning 50 is later this year BUT...
Doug turns 50 in 4 weeks...on Feb 20th. I'm hoping Neil will put a cupcake and candle on hood...perhaps even fire up engine if its possible.
142562 turns 50 soon, what about your Special??? Any plans for yours personally when the day arrives?

That’s a great idea, mine is March 24th as I recall. Might have to plan a little party including a drive if the weather allows. Thanks for the suggestion.

Mine is 50 on March 15th. Weather permitting, I take my Mustangs for a spin on their birthdays.

Feb 5, is my GT/CS's birthday. I might treat myself to a Dilly bar.

Gosh. Driving your favorite car that was made the same year you were born.
I think I'll be on the lookout for a '39 Ford coupe (flathead V-8 & 3 speed).

Neil,
Not only that BUT Doug was produced in Feb and 9 months later I was born...coincidence??
39? Thought it was a '37? I had it wrong?

Neil, that’s too funny. While my GT/CS is 11 years younger than me, my high school car and I were born in the same year. Below is my 1957 Chevy short box pickup I enjoyed for a few years. Updated with a mildly built 283 4bbl dual exhaust converted to 12v. Original 3 speed converted to a floor shift. For a heavy thick steel truck this little guy was fast! Foolishly when gas got to $1.00 a gallon I sold it.
Sorry for this lousy picture, it’s the only one I have. Taken in Manito Park (Spokane, WA) in the spring of 1975 with a Kodak Instamatic 126 film camera.

Mine is 50 on April 4 th! Chances are with all our salt & sand, I won't be out on the road until the end of the month. With my new Vintage AC installed, I'm looking forward to cruising over to the seacoast more often this coming summer.
