Joe's build thread

I'm going to use this thread to chronicle the resurrection of my 68. Hopefully I will complete it this year.

This is a pic of how it sits now. The pic quality isn't very good, but my painter said he'll send me some more tonight.

More to come............

HP numbers are good and all, but they're like asking someone how much they can bench. What difference does it make, if I can still kick your ass.

Joe,
Did the quarter panel buckle from the front end impact or was it old damage?

Thanks, Rob. But I still have the scoops. They were just taken off for paint.

That's what he's telling me. It'll be nice to get the car back together.

Joe,
Slow but sure!!! Back to white again? It is looking awesome! Especially when you remember what the front used to look like!

68 Shelby hood will give you a bit more clearance? I almost went that way, but the cowl hood I got gave me another inch or so over the Shelby one.

It'll be good to see it all back together and running again.

Yes, sticking with white. I'm kinda fond of the Wimbledon White, even though the original color was Sunlit Gold. I'm hoping Arlie won't have spasms about the paint since the color was changed already when I bought it.

I believe I'm going back to the same hood and scoop I had before.
