Back in the '80's I bought a Shelby marked small block tri-power from a guy parting out a '67 GT350. I didn't have anything it would fit at the time but I wanted it. I lent it to a friend and lo and behold the tri-power and the friend disappeared.

I just received my "Mustang and Fords" magazine and one of the articles was talking about the super rare 289 Tri-Power that could be ordered from the parts department. Funny it would come out just as we were talking about it but thought I'd mention it. Thing is, the guy in the article is from Vancouver Wa. and my "friend" lived in Portland, Or., just across the river. I can't help but wonder if that's my old Tri-power on his car. No way to know for sure, but what are the chances?
