Well, that will teach me to let my husband go to a car show without me! He took the Mustang to a show last Saturday and made an offer on a 1939 Ford Coupe...and picked it up on Friday. He threatened to sell the Mustang, but I told him that was not an option - guess this means the Mustang is officially "my" car now. Yes - it really is a GT/CS - somewhere along the lines the original fog lights were replaced with GT lights - just something else to fix.

SAAWEEET!! Roommates can be a good thing - who is faster?

Probably the '39 - it has a Chevy 327 vs. the Mustang's 289....but my husband would like to replace the 289 with a 302 or 347 crate motor.

Call me narrow-minded (many do) but I'd yank that chevy engine out of the
'39 first. I think it's just crying for a stroked (427 cu.in.) Windsor.

Well, he would like to replace the Chevy engine with a Ford engine eventually. But the Mustang needs one first. And after the purchase of the '39, there may not be a lot of work done to either car for a while!

Nice 39, I second yanking the bowtie, has to feel like jock itch for the poor car having a bowtie motor down there.

Hahahaaaa Cory!! Nice description! Lisa, you can't take it to Knott's with a Chevy under the hood either...Ford powered vehicles only!
